Did you know you can see a doctor on your own, even if you’re under 16?
From the age of 14, you have the right to see a doctor without a parent or guardian present. You can choose to be seen alone, or you may bring a friend or family member with you if that makes you feel more comfortable.
Everyone at our practice respects your privacy. The information you share with us will remain confidential. This means we will not share it with anyone, including your family, teachers, or care workers, unless we believe there is a risk to your safety or the safety of others. If that situation ever arises, we will always talk to you first before passing information on to the appropriate services.
